Part of the park is a nature trail developed for children – as a so-called “bug trail”. The varied terrain and humidity conditions in the area provide diverse habitats: sunny meadows attract many species of insects and butterflies while a swampy area in the hollow is a good environment for dragonflies. The Perkkoonpuisto right-of-way is a protective area for Fingrid’s 110 kV transmission line.
