Transmission fees in Finland are very reasonable in comparison to other European countries. Lower fees for next year were made possible by positive result development in early 2018, outstanding cost-effectiveness, a moderate pace of investment, and the forecasted slight increase in electricity consumption. Reactive power fees will observe the gradually increasing price level that was agreed earlier. This action is aimed at reducing transmission of reactive power in the main grid.
Fingrid wants to keep price changes moderate in the future as well by means of a properly timed and dimensioned investment programme, continued development of a market-based outsourced operating model, and utilising the opportunities provided by digitalisation.
