The connection will be built from Pyhänselkä via Keminmaa to Messaure, Sweden and it is scheduled for completion in 2025.
Additional capacity between Finland and Sweden is needed to allow efficient electricity market functioning, keep electricity prices from diverging and ensure the sufficiency of electricity during exceptional situations.
