Upright Oy is a company led by Annu Nieminen that is developing a calculation model to measure and compare the total impacts of companies’ operations. The goal is to encourage companies to optimise their net impacts. Last year Upright and Fingrid performed a practice calculation that examined the total impacts of Fingrid’s operations.
We wanted to make reporting safety observations as easy as possible during the campaign. Actively submitting safety observations is worthwhile because each person’s safety thinking improves when they pay more attention to the matter.
Main grid maintenance involves a lot of construction work and dismantling of old structures. Most of the materials at worksites can be reused, but Fingrid still wants to improve its recycling efficiency.
Fingrid has arranged project manager training in cooperation with Project Institute Finland during 2017 and 2018. At the end of the training, managers can complete a certificate that complies with an international system.

Fingrid continued to make large investments and develop its operations in 2017. The company is in good financial condition and the result has developed as expected and according to regulation. Turnover was 672 million euros and more than 111 million euros were spent on investments.
