to work with them.
The balancing management reform will boost the efficiency of Fingrid’s work in balancing electricity production and consumption. At the same time, several new tools and methods will be introduced, so customers will have a wider range of opportunities to participate in the electricity market.
The transition to a 15-minute market time unit and imbalance settlement period will take place in phases beginning next May. The European day-ahead market for electricity will move to 15-minute market time unit in 2025. The phased transition will provide time to prepare and collect data for forecasting.
