responsible for keeping the power system of Finland in balance in real time.
Fingrid is prepared for the event of electricity production disturbances.
In addition to buying from the balancing power market, it has access to approximately 1,200 megawatts of reserve power. Reserve power plants are always on standby, but the full 1,200 megawatts is very rarely needed.
